Installations

A good install is mostly in the details: where the indoor unit throws its air, where the outdoor unit sits, and how the pipework and cabling are run and finished.

  • Indoor units placed for even heating
  • Outdoor units positioned and mounted securely
  • Tidy pipe and cable runs
  • Single rooms through to multiple units

Servicing & maintenance

Heat pumps work hard. Regular servicing keeps them efficient, quieter and less likely to let you down on the coldest night of the year.

Energy efficiency

More heat,
less power.

Heat pumps are one of the most efficient ways to heat a home, because they move heat rather than make it. A few simple habits help them do that well.

  1. Get the size right

An undersized unit runs flat out and still struggles. An oversized one costs more than it needs to. Sizing to the room is the first step to efficient heating.

  2. Pick a sensible temperature

Around 18–21°C is comfortable for most homes. Setting it much higher does not heat the room faster, it just uses more power.

  3. Use heat mode in winter

Choose heat rather than auto, so the unit is not switching between heating and cooling.

  4. Keep the heat in

Close doors and curtains at dusk. Good insulation and draught-stopping make any heat pump more effective.

  5. Keep the filters clean

Dusty filters restrict airflow and cut efficiency. A quick clean every few weeks, plus regular servicing, keeps it running well.
